From mama’s kitchen to yours

Mama Kitchen is still run by the family that started it, and it is a Vietnamese kitchen first. The recipes came out of a home in Vietnam rather than a restaurant, and we cook them the traditional way, with the freshest ingredients we can get. Every plate is made to order.

There are two kitchens now, one at Háaleiti and one on Laugavegur, different rooms working off the same menu of more than forty dishes. The food is Vietnamese, along with the Thai dishes our guests have come to love. Some of it is a bowl of phở eaten at the table on a cold day and some of it is summer rolls boxed up at the counter or sent out with Wolt.

Thank you to everyone who has eaten with us, sent a friend our way and come back again. We would not be cooking in two kitchens without you.
